The way we work and the particular products we produce allow our lovely customers any number of opportunities to get properly involved in the items they order. Here’s how:
Customisation
Some of our products - particularly those intended to be given as gifts, like the Heart of Two Halves you can see in this section - require customisation, but let’s be clear here: almost all of our products can be customised.
In most cases that means a modest but meaningful message; a name or a date, say, engraved somewhere on one of the products we stock in our shop. Maybe you have something more involved in mind; a dedication to someone near and dear to you, or a quote that’s gotten you through darker days incorporated into a design. The good news is: that’s fine!
And the options are almost endless! Where do you want your engraving placed? What font do you want? Do you want your words writ loud and proud, or would you sooner they were somewhat subtler - on the rear of the piece, perhaps, or secreted somewhere on a lower layer where only those in the know would notice. We’re ready and willing to walk you through every stage, in any case. Simply select “Customise My Product” on the appropriate product page and we’ll walk you through the process from there.
Commission
We’ve got you covered if you’re looking for something more bespoke than a modest message as well. Commissioning work from Wavecrest Woodcraft is (if you ask us) a wonderful way to introduce artistry, warmth and personality into your space.
The process begins - and ends - with you. First things first: you have an idea. Perhaps it starts with a picture of a favourite place or a pet you’d like preserved in dyed and painted ply. Perhaps you own a small business and you’d like a striking landscape of your logo to show off somewhere in your shop. Perhaps there’s a special occasion coming up and you’d like to give your someone special something truly special to mark the moment: a bespoke portrait or a piece themed around them and their particular passions.
Maybe you know exactly what you want - in which case, wonderful! But maybe it’s a bit blurry, this idea you have. Happily, we can help with that as well. For a very reasonable fee - which we’ll deduct from the cost of your commissioned product should you opt to order, as all of our customers have done to date - we’ll take the time to discuss designs. We’ll speak about sizes and styles and recommend materials, and offer up to three revisions to best bring out your vision, but ultimately, the choices are yours to make. We’re just here to help made your idea real.
